USTA threaten agitation, seek salaries of SSA teachers before May 15

Kishtwar, May 11: The Jammu and Kashmir United School Teachers Association (J&KUSTA) District Unit Kishtwar in an extra ordinary meeting held today set 15th May, 2015 as a deadline to state government for release of salaries and threaten to lodge a peace full mode of protest against the education department as well as against state government if the salaries of the SSA Teachers could not be paid to them by or before 15th of May 2015.
The association while unveiling its plan decided that in its 1st phase the association will lodge one day strong protest demonstration against the state government on 16 May 2015.
"It is very shameful that our teachers are without salaries from months together and most of the teachers working under SSA are suffering," read USTA press statement. The statement added that on one side government as well as higher authorities of the department are asking for quality education and at the same time they are putting them under stress by stopping the salaries of the teachers, thus leaving no option for them to come on the roads for seeking justice.
