Jammu, June 23:Demanding release of their salary, Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) of the Family Welfare Department held a protest demonstration cum dharna in Madam Shashi Bala Memorial Park, Directorate of Health Services Jammu. The protest dharna was organized under the banner of Jammu Kashmir Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers Welfare Association and the protesting FMPHWs raised slogans in support of their demand. Addressing the protesters, Babli Sharma and Sushil Sudan alleged that despite repeated assurances by the Government, including Health Minister the employees were without salary for the last 16-18 months.
They criticized the Government has once again urged the authorities to settle the issue of FMPHWs once and for all. The FMPHWs have decided to accelerate their struggle in future in view of non-serious attitude of Government.
Others who were present on the occasion included Mahima Devi, Nancy Bhan, Urmil, Neelam Kumari, Mala Devi, Mamta Devi, Rekha Rani, Sarso Devi, Nirmal Kour and Kanta Devi. |
