2 Inspectors trying to become SHO of a border PS 6/24/2015 1:06:35 AM Early Times Report Jammu, June 23: Two police Inspectors are using all their connections to get posted as SHO of a border police station in Jammu district. One of them was earlier SHO of this border police station but he was attached with the district police lines here, following the posting of a probationary IPS officer as its SHO. Another got himself transferred to Jammu-Kathua range and then to Jammu district in the recent past. As he has already served as SHO there, he wants to be its SHO again. Both were making rounds of the offices of senior police officers for their posting to the said police station, according to police sources. One of these Inspectors, during his posting in a city police station here, had faced criticism for interfering in the jurisdictions of other SHOs. He is so well connected that for most part of his service, he has served as SHO of different city police stations. One of them was likely to be posted as SHO of the border police station while the other would be posted somewhere in Jammu. If both of them insisted for their posting in the particular police station, some third Inspector would be given its charge, the sources added.
