Concentrate on work: Mufti to ministers Unhappy over manhandling of scribe by Mantri's guard | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 23: Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayed, has told his ministers in clear terms to refrain from taking up controversial issues and instead concentrate on work. The advise has come after reports that the coalition government has not been able to provide good governance. The Chief Minister has further advised his ministers to spend more time in office chambers to address the problems of the people. Mufti has told the ministers not to fall prey to machinations of mischief mongers. Reports suggest that the CM was dismayed over manhandling of a journalist by the guards of a minister. Official sources said that Mufti Sayeed may be meeting Prime Minister and the Union Finance Minister for converting 90 per cent of central financial assistance as aid and 10 per cent as loan. In addition to this the Chief Minister wants a special package for Jammu and Kashmir so that the coalition Government is able to implement a number of projects including those connected with increasing power generation, improving drinking water supply schemes and irrigation network. The Chief Minister is said to have conveyed to the central Government that in view of the difficult financial health of Jammu and Kashmir no new major development project could be implemented without the financial support from the centre. |
