Kathua, June 23:- JK Ex Services League today conducted election for District Kathua body under the supervision of Col. Salaria, Secretary of the state body of league and unanimously elected Sagar Singh as District President of the league and Mohan Lal elected as vice president. Rest of the members will be nominated by newly elected president later on.
According to press release, while addressing on the occasion, Col Salaria confirmed the election and said League has several points taken up with Union government like One Rank- One Pension, Government job after retirement, constitution of Ex-servicemen Commission, representation of military veteran in Rajya Sabha, free passes in railways/ airlines/ buses, pension to widows etc. He said the points have been discussed with Union defence Ministry and hoped to be redressed soon.
Sagar Singh, newly elected president of the League ensured to work for the ex-servicemen of the district and try to solve their problems related to pension etc. He said the League has several agendas and he would continue his fight to get the rights of ex-servicemen. |
