GLTF holds meeting | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 11: General Line Teachers Forum (GLTF) today held meeting under the Chairmanship of Neeraj Sharma here at central office. According to press release, Neeraj Sharma condemned /questioned malignant/biased attitude of some politicians of previous government who were rejected miserably by the people. They criticized the leaders who are trying to take political mileage out of the ongoing imbroglio of ReTs/RReT screening test and verification of educational qualification. They appreciated the decision of Education Minister and also condemned the wrong policies of previous government who created a wide gulf between the teachers just to earn political gain. He asked those leaders who oppose the measures to refrain from any interference in the issue which is better for society and teachers at large. The president rather urged the union leaders and political leaders to support the Education Minister who have pious and sincere vision of making the Education system free from corruption, deadwoods and thereby raising the standard and quality of education in state. "The Teacher and…………. Fearing of Tests" whereas he/she is taking the tests of students everyday in schools. Teachers are bound to be abreast with plethora of knowledge and be ready to face any such challenges", they said. Sharma further said that those who opposes and fears of these measures are either incompetent and are enemy of teaching community. The recent declining standard in the past is total attributed to the unconventional engagement of ReTs teachers. All the members supported and urged the Minister to go ahead with his initiatives so that the lost image and respect of teachers could be retrieved and restored in the present society. |
