PDP committed to set up new system of justice, equality: Mehbooba | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 11: Exhorting party cadre to work with dedication and commitment to solve problems of the common masses, president of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP), Mehbooba Mufti today reiterated commitment of her party to establish a system where every section of the society would get equal opportunities for development and socio-economic growth. "Formation of PDP-BJP government is an historic opportunity because this regime has ushered an era of growth, peace and development in J&K", she said while addressing a meeting of senior party leaders and workers of Jammu province. She, however, said it would take some time to streamline the system, which was badly derailed during the tenure of previous regime. "It is result of hard-work and dedication of the workers that PDP has achieved power", she said and added that responsibility on workers has increased manifold after formation of the government because people have every high hopes on our government. "During the last five months, PDP led coalition has already taken many revolutionary steps to bring system back on the track", she said while mentioning towards steps taken by the government to strengthen Public Service Commission and Service Selection Board to institutionalize recruitment process. "We will ensure accountability and transparency in the recruitment process so as to recruit only deserving and genuine candidates in all the departments", she said and reminded the workers that during previous PDP led regime recruitment process was institutionalized and appointments were made with transparency and accountability to ensure justice with all people. PDP president assured that beautification and developmental projects for Jammu region, which were started during previous PDP led regime, would be completed as early as possible. She said that government has already expedited the process to complete these projects. "We have an exclusive vision document for the growth and development of Jammu region", she reiterated, adding, "historic importance and sanctity of Jammu city would be restored at any cost". |
