Reduce fares, Ajaz appeals to transport commissioner 8/11/2015 11:16:16 PM Early Times Report Mendhar, Aug 11: Ajaz Choudhary, youth congress assembly president, Mendhar has appealed to the transport commissioner to issue directions to reduce the fares of public transport like matadors and auto rikshaws keeping in mind the reduction in fuel prices. Ajaz Choudhary said that Petrol and diesel prices are decreasing day by day is good news but what kind of benefit a common man gets as the transportation fare are still same. People are paying the high transport fare despite the reduction in fuel prices but till date no step has been taken by the concerned authority in J&K. He further added that it is also a request from the general public to transport Commissioner Jammu, to kindly intervene personally in the matter and direct the concerned authority to reduce the transportation fare of Summo, Bus and of Metadoors with new notification and circular.\ Choudhary added that the reduction in fuel prices is benefitting the rich people and those who have personal vehicles but the common people are paying the same price so it is a request to the concerned authority to take necessary steps.
