JAMMU, Aug 11: Star studded Simula Cricket Club today reached the final of the Chevrolet Cricket Cup Tournament, organized by KC Sports Club (KCSC) and sponsored by KC Motors Jammu at KC Public School Cricket ground, here. Now, in the final, date for which is yet to decided, Simula shall take on Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC). Earlier, in the semifinals, Simula outplayed Khalsa Cricket club (KCC) by a huge margin of 101 runs. Earlier, batting first, Simula set a target of 195 runs in 20 overs. Sameer and Dhruv remained top scorers with 45 and 40 runs respectively. Nitin and Abhishek took two wickets each from Khalsa. In reply, Khlasa bowled out for 93 in 14.2 overs to lose the game by a big margin. Mannu and Nitin could only touch the double figure mark with 18 and 11 runs in their respective accounts. From Simula, Prince and Dhruv Mahajan remained most successful bowlers with three wickets each. Sadiq Hussain Malik, Honey Chib Singh and Rajinder Singh were the officials in today's second semifinal. |
