KATHUA, Aug 11: The department of Youth Services and Sports Kathua Inter Zonal District level tournament U-19 yrs Boys, in the discipline of Badminton and hand ball of clubbed zone viz. Zone Hiranagar, Sallan, Marheen, Kathua, Lakhanpur and Barnoti, , under the close supervision on Sunil Kumar, DYSSO Kathua at St Xavier Convent School Hatli More Kathua. Uttam Singh PEM, Kewal Kumar, Sanjeev Singh, PET, Parveen Singh, PET were also present among the officials who officiate the competitions.
The result of today events are as in Badminton Single events, Madhav Mahajan of Zone Hiranagar defeated Aman Sharma of Zone Kathua by 21-9 and 21-14 points. In Double events, Akhil Mahajan and Sahil Verma of Zone Hirangar defeated Pankaj Ram and Abhishek Verma of Zone Kathua by 21-16 and 21-8 points.
Moreover in Handball events, only one teams of clubbed zone (Lakhanpur Kathua and Barnoti) reported the venue and subsequently no competition was held and same teams was provisionally selected for further competition. |
