GCW Parade women meet PG in Chess final 8/20/2015 11:30:50 PM EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 20: Government College for Women (GCW) Parade shall take on the combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Departments of University in the Inter-college women's Chess Tournament, organised by Department of Physical Education and Sports at Gymnasium Hall on the campus, here tomorrow at 10 am. Earlier, in the semifinals, played today, PG outplayed Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua 2.5-1.5 points to reach the final. The Results: Sanmeet Kour beat Pallvi; Ravleen Kour lost to Swati Saini; Santosh Kumari got walkover; Anita Singh held Kusam Lata to draw. In other semifinal, GWC Parade defeated Government College for Women (GCW) Gandhi Nagar 3.5-0.5 points. The Results: Navneet Kour beat Sonali; Anchal Chiber beat Priya Devi; Sushmita Jamwal beat Priyanka; Hansja Sharma held Mehak Bakshi to draw. Meanwhile, in men's chess event, Government Degree College (GDC) Samba and GDC Udhampur won their respective matches to advance into the next round. In the first match, GDC Samba defeated SPMR College of Commerce 2.5-1.5. The Results: Debanshu Sambyal beat Nikhil Heer; Neeraj Singh beat Rohit Sharma; Vikas Singh Sambyal lost to Atul Singh; Janish Jai Manyal held Vivek Sharma to draw. The GDC Udhampur trounced Government MAM College 4-0 to make their presence felt. The Results: GDC Udhampur beat Govt MAM College 4-0 points.
