ACR's 'don' brother tries to run over ET reporter | Threatens to kill him, Police assure action | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Aug 20: Exasperated by the series of stories carried by this newspaper highlighting the alleged misdeeds of Dr Khalid Hussain Malik the Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kishtwar, his brother Shabir Ahmed Malik son of Shahid Hussain Malik of Asrarabad Kishtwar allegedly tried to run over Early Times Correspondent "Asif Iqbal Naik" under his motorcycle at around 2.30 PM here on Thursday. The ACR Kishtwar and his brother were disinherited by their father who alleged that both his sons were involved in cruelty on him and his wife. Infuriated by the news of atrocities committed by ACR Kishtwar on a widower in Sirgwari Kishtwar over road alignment and direction of Kishtwar court to register FIR against him and his friends involved in criminal act, the brother of ACR Kishtwar earlier had also threatened Asif Naik that he (Shabir Malik) would shoot him dead with the service riffle of the Personal Security Guard of his officer brother. The said brother of ACR Kishtwar is facing trial in several theft and criminal cases. The accused Shabir Malik also warned ET correspondent by issuing diktat to him not to carry any news against his ACR brother and further asked him to praise his brother in media circles. After this incident, the ET correspondent approached Kishtwar police station for registration of an FIR against Shabir Hussain Malik for his criminal and murderous act. The SHO Kishtwar Sameer Jeelani assured the reporter that an appropriate action under law would be initiated against the accused person, however no arrest was made by Kishtwar police when the reports last came in. Meanwhile various media and social organizations of Kishtwar have condemned the criminal act of ACR Kishtwar brother and demanded immediate registration of FIR against the accused person. |
