JAMMU, Aug 20: Annual inter-school competitions of Jammu district for under-19 year boys and girls in different discipline, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), got underway at Government High School, Jammu Cantonment, here today.
The competition for boys in volleyball and kabaddi events declared open by Headmaster of host school, Raj Rani in the presence of Zonal Physical Education Officers (ZPEOs), Sher Singh and Kiran Jyoti.
The Detailed Results:
VOLLEYBALL: Government Higher Secondary School (HSS), Sunjwan beat Government HSS Gandhi Nagar 2-0 (25-21, 25-12); Government HSS Bhour Camp beat Government HSS Mandal 2-1 (25-13, 22-25, 25-08). Mulkh Raj and Jagjit Singh officiated the matches.
KABADDI: Government HSS Bhour Camp beat Government HSS Bahu Fort 23-05 points; Government HSS Mandal beat Government HSS Channi Himmat 33-19 points. Rajesh Bandral, Harvinder Singh and Ravinder officiated the matches.
Meanwhile, under-19 girls Wushu and Judo competition took place at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here. The Results: -44 Kg: Palak of Government HSS Canal Road, 1st. 48 Kg: Anu Radha of Government HSS Canal Road, 1st. -52 Kg: Priya of BHMP HSS ,1st. 56 Kg: Ancy George of Government HSS Canal Road, Ist. 60 Kg: Riya Chib of Government HSS, 1st. 65 Kg: Monika of Government HSS Canal Road, 1st.
JUDO: 40 Kg: Arohi Khajuria of Government GHSS Camp, 1st; 44 Kg: Bhumika Mahajan of MHAC Nagbani, 1st. 48 Kg: Sanjana Manhas Govt HSS Paloura, 1st. 52 Kg: Neharika of SOS Jammu, 1st. 56 Kg: Vishali Choudhary of JKP Kunjwani, 1st. 61 Kg: Harshna Bhagat of SOS Jammu, 1st. Plus 61 Kg: Rhytham Kohli of SOS Jammu, 1st. Atul Pangotra, Varinder Sharma, Raman Sharma and Ravinder officiated the bouts.
