One lac pilgrims pay obeisance at Chandi temple
Machail yatra reaches Massu

Kishtwar August 20: At least one lac pilgrims from across India paid obeisance at Chandi temple during the annual Machail yatra Chhari (Mace) which commenced Thursday after night halt at Kishtwar.
The yatra proceeded for onwards journey to Machail Paddar today and arrived at Mata Jawala temple Massu under tight security cover led by Dy. SP DAR Kishtwar Sanjay Parihar. In addition to J&K Police, CRPF and army troops are also providing security to the Yatra all along 120 KM from Thatri to Machail temple.
Earlier breaking all its precious records, the annual Machail Yatra this year received a tremendous boast this year as heavy rush of yatries has been witnessed right since the yatra was officially thrown open for the pilgrims from 1st August.
After night halt at Mata Jawala Temple Massu, Mace will stop at Chasoti for another night halt before the Yatra will finally reach at Machail on 22nd of August, where the main puja and hawan will be performed for two days and on 25th the Chhari will reach back to Gulabgard Padder by the evening and finally back to Chandi Matta Temple Bhaderwah on 27th of August 2015.
Meanwhile many petrol pumps are running dry in the District as a result of which many pilgrims and transporter are facing lot of inconvenience due to non availability of fuel. The reports of black marketing of Diesel and petrol has also been received from different areas of Kishtwar, in addition the black marketing of Kerosene oil has also been received from the District as many Kerosene oil deport owners are selling the Kerosene oil to vehicle owners. After receiving the complaints of black marketing, Kishtwar administration and police swung into action and started a damage control exercise to streamline the things by visiting the petrol pumps and take the stock of storage of petrol and diesel.
