JKMEF condemns police action on two doctors | | | Early Times Reoprt Jammu, Aug 20: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) condemned Police action on two Medical Officers and some Para Medical Staff of Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu who have been detained after a patient reportedly died at the said Hospital. According to press statement, President Sushil Sudan said, "It was alleged that Police has registered a false and fabricated case on the instances of some vested interest just to defame the image of doctors posted at the same hospital including Para Medical Staff". He claimed that though all the doctors and Para Medical Staff are serving the suffering humanity with dedication but the Police action has demoralized their creditability. The Federation at the same time has expressed all the sympathies with nears and dears of the deceased. While, they sat on dharna, raised their voice against the attitude of Police as well as District Administration and has sat on one day strike whereas emergency services/operation have been exempted from purview of strike. They warned that in case Administration fail to take appropriate action in the matter including release of doctors and Para Medical Staff, then it will adopt agitational path through- out Jammu Province. They stressed all the employees to work with more dedication and adopt human approach and polite behavior with the patients whereas it is also impressed on the Administration not to register false FIRs against the staff on duty in the hospitals without conducting detailed enquiry. |
