RS Pura, Aug 20: In the wake of reports of incidents of leaf folder in Paddy crop in some areas of Sub District RS Pura, a team of officers headed by Sub District Agriculture officer Dr Harjeet Singh visited the different villages of Chatha. According to press release, he was also accompanied by AEO Harbhajan Singh, JAEO Gurdeep singh, JAEO Satvir singh, Rupinder Singh, Manmohan singh, Inderpreet Kour and other officers of the Department. The team visited the villages Chatha, Gadigarh, Miran Sahib, Ban-Sultan and interacted with the farmers whose fields have been infected by the disease. It was observed that the disease has just appeared in traces in few farmers fields of the area. The farmers were advised by the visiting officers to spray the paddy crop with Chlorofas which has been available in the Market. |
