1 detained for attacking 2 ABVP activists 9/12/2015 11:04:03 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 12 In broad daylight, two activists of Akhil Bhartitya Vidrathi Parishad (ABVP) were attacked today in GGM Science College while they were busy in membership drive launched by the parishad. The injured have been identified as Ashish and Avinash, both students of second year. Some staff members of college who witnessed the incident said that as the activists of ABVP started membership drive in the college some outsiders who happened to be students of the college last year along with some regular students of the college attacked them resulting injuries to them. The injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) for treatment. Police said that they have detained a youth in this connection who has been identified as Sahil Singh Jamwal and further investigation in this regard is on. City Organising Secretary, ABVP, Ganesh stated that they launched membership drive in GGM Science College when activists of ABVP were attacked by some students along with some goons.
