Sources informed Early Times that without any published notification regarding fee hike in academic session 2015-16, the examination authority has been extorting Rs 100 more from private students who are appearing for examination of post graduation courses or re-appearing in examination of post graduation courses. A student who could not qualify examination of semester-III in History informed Early Times that without any notification, the greedy university authority has been looting Rs 720 rupees as examination fee including Rs 100 as services charges, but when he tried to question the hike, neither the employee sitting in examination centre nor Jammu Kashmir Bank have gave satisfactory reply. He further said that in receipt, the two fees are particularly mentioned by JK Bank but both the authorities have no answers to the queries of the candidates. "Every year thousands of students across the state have been applying in different under graduate and post graduate courses besides Diploma courses as private candidates and if the Varsity authority will arbitrarily increase the fee structure every year then it will be impossible for poor students to apply for different courses", he said. When contacted Controller Examination, Sanjeev Mahajan denied fee hike in PG examination and said, "if someone has any query, he can come to my office on Monday, I will definitely take cognizance |
