J&K Sikh Societies criticize Govt over levying tax on helicopter | | | Early Times Report jammu, Sept 12: J&K Sikh Societies expressed serious concern over levying of 12.5% service tax on helicopter service to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and the State Government's decision which hurts the sentiments of millions of devotees across the world. A meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Gurdeep Singh Sasan Chief Patron of the Amalgamate. Addressing the meeting Sasan castigated the State Government Sasan said that it is deep rooted conspiracy to polarize the situation in J&K to divertify the people's attention from burning problem and hide the Governments total failure on all the fronts. He said that it will have far reaching consequences, terming the decision as illegal conceived and a great blunder thereby putting additional financial burden on the devotees. He flayed the BJP for keeping criminal silence over this sensitive issue and being a party to this unholy decision thereby cheating them and playing with their sentiments only to remain in power. He urged the government to immediately roll back this division. He appreciated the people of J&K for unite taking stand against Govt. decision thereby sending a warming to the Govt. that the people are united on these sensitive issues irrespective of religion and Political affiliation. |
