| SPCB organizes lecture on pollution control | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Sept 12: State Pollution Control Board Ramban organised a lecture on Environmental degradation and pollution control with a special focus on ban on polythene carry bags at New Convent Secondary School Banihal in district Ramban.
On the occasion, Divisional Officer State Pollution Control Board Ramban deliberated upon some main causes for environmental degradation, and interacted with students of the school on various types of pollution threatening our environment. Special focus was laid on ban on polythene carry bags in the state of Jammu & Kashmir and its dangerous consequences on our sensitive ecosystems.
He shared many ideas and experiences with the students and the faculty of different schools and the staff to work for betterment of environment and preservation of our precious natural resources. Among the schools where similar programme were held recently include BVM School Ramban and Government High School Kanga. |
