Evening classes start in 2 HS schools in Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Sept 12: In order to reach out to the poor and weak students, evening classes have been started in HSS Boys and HSS Girls.
The decision to start evening classes was taken by the government in July this year.
As per details available with Early Times, CEO Kishtwar in response to DSE Jammu letter No. DSEJ/14435-45 dated 21-07-2-15 vide order No. CEO/K/2015/10815-33 dated August 8, 2015 identified 15 High/Higher Secondary schools in six education zones of Kishtwar District which include HSS Shirodh, HS Patnazi and HS Drabshala in Drabshala zone, HS Sigdi and HS Chingam in zone Inderwal, HSS Boys/HSS Girls Kishtwar, HS Sarthal and HS Sirgwari in zone Kishtwar, HS Lopara in Zone Marwah, HSS Palmar and HS Dool in zone Nagsini and HSS Padder, HS Atholi and HS Sohal in zone Padder. Except HSS Boys/Girls Kishtwar, all other schools identified by the government fall in remote and far flung areas of Kishtwar District and are short of staff.
Much to the delight of poor and underprivileged students, renowned Mathematician, Mehboob Qazi delivered a lecture on basic concept of Mathematics. The students enjoyed the new method of teaching.
Over 150 students enrolled their names for evening classes at HSS Girls Kishtwar while nearly 100 students come forward for attending evening classes at HSS Boys Kishtwar.
Addressing the gathering, the CEO Kishtwar Abdul Hamid Fani said that the aim and objective of starting evening classes is to identify the weak students and help them.
He said that any student either studying in private schools or government schools can enrol in these night classes.
He said that the department will try to reach out renowned retired teachers and others in service for delivering guest lecturers in evening classes which will the students in general.
The program was coordinated by Master Farooq Ahmed Baghwan, beside Deputy CEO Pralad Baghat, Principal HSS Boys Pramila Sharma, in charge Principal HSS Girls Ravi Rathore, staff members of HSS Girls were also present on this occasion.
