Jammu, Nov 5 : It was because of the brilliant knock from Sahil Lotra that J&K could reach 170 for the loss of nine wickets on the rain interrupted first day play against Hyderabad in the Cooch Behar Trophy under-19 tournament got underway at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today. Sahil made 59 runs studded with seven boundaries and remained the highest scorer. Earlier, openers Nipun Verma and Suryansh Raina made a good start adding 62 runs for the first wicket stand. While Nipun made 24 runs, Suryansh contributed 38-ball 38 runs. It was followed by a poor show from rest of the team with three batsmen duck out. However, Sahil played sensible cricket and kept the one end intact. Sahil, who faced 129 deliveries to make 59 runs, lost wicket when score on board was 168 runs. |
