Hurriyat leaders sending feelers to Centre for dialogue
11/6/2015 12:05:08 AM

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 5: Contrary to the "aggressive posture" being adopted by the Hurriyat leaders against visit of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, some factions of the separatist amalgam are sending feelers to the Central Government to involve them in the "meaningful" dialogue as part of "face saving" for them.
Credible sources in the corridors of power said that most of the separatist leaders are frustrated over the way Union Government has been ignoring them despite the fact they are self styled "real representatives" of the people of Kashmir. During the last one year, Union Government has not giving importance to the Hurriyat leaders, who are known for black-mailing Union Government, for the last 20 years. For the last 20 years, every prime minister of the country gave importance to these Hurriyat leaders before visiting Kashmir Valley to avoid confrontation. It was all due to this precedent set by former prime ministers, Hurriyat leaders for the last one and half years have been trying to exert pressure on Central government to work on their dictates.
Hurriyat leaders were expecting that before finalizing his visit to Kashmir Valley, Prime Minister would engage them in dialogue process. But, unlike, former prime ministers, the present Union Government has not given any importance to the Hurriyat leaders. The present Central government is very much aware that Hurriyat leaders have no base in Kashmir Valley so the government has decided not to commit mistakes which were committed by previous governments. Hurriyat leaders have been for the last 15 days have been sending feelers to the Union Government to engage them in dialogue process. But they have not received any positive response from the Centre. Hurriyat leaders are very much aware that if they were ignored by Prime Minister during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir they would be completely finished in the Valley.
