According to local residents, a patient namely Gulshana Begum D/O Abdul Rehman Malik R/o Ferozpora village in Tangmarag area was admitted at Sub District Hospital Tangmarg here in north Kashmir. After admitting the lady in the hospital, she delivered a baby girl around 1:00 pm. "Paramedical staff didn't handover the baby till their palms were greased," attendants alleged. Sarpanch Ferozpora, Abdul Gani Mir claimed that patient developed some complications after delivering the baby. "None of the doctors came to see the patient from 4pm to 9 pm despite repeated pleas of the attendants. Patient bled profusely for nearly five hours. At 9 pm she was taken to operation theatre but doctors couldn't handle her and they referred the patient in critical condition to LD hospital in Srinagar," locals said. Early Times brought this matter into the notice of BMO Tangmarag, Dr Jameel who refused to accept the fact that it was the negligence of doctors, he said that, hospital is lacking of full fledged Blood Bank and staff due to which patient was referred to Srinagar.
