Jammu, Nov 5: An emergency meeting of Panther Trade Union (PTU), Jammu and Kashmir was held at Jammu to review the hardships and problems created by the daily wagers, casual labourers, public sector employees and victims of floods and rain who have not been paid for nearly one year by the state and public sector. President PTU Parmajit Singh Marshall extended support to the resolution and hoped that Prime Minister Modi shall respond to the urges of suffering working class in J&K. The PTU meeting in a resolution called on Prime Minister Modi to respond to the urges of the working class, the government employees, the causal labourers, the contractual employees, the SPOs serving in police, NYC volunteers, SSB, Home guards, ReT teachers and all other employees who have not been paid any salary for nearly ten months by the government. The resolution reminded the Prime Minister that the working class shall have to resort to dark Diwali if they are not given all their wages and arrears before Diwali. The resolution demanded minimum wages act to be enforced in the state. The PTU urged Prime Minister to declare his policy towards the employees, the working class and the policy towards the under paid workers in the public sector. |
