USC demands completion of investigation | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 5: United Sikh Council (USC) organized an awareness programme for information of general public for failure of the authorities to meet out justice to the Sikh Community, for not meeting out justice to the Sikh community with respect to the brutal killing of innocent youth namely Jasjeet Singh s/o Narbeer Singh of Chouala, R.S. Pura, besides injuring others, who were on peaceful dharna in protest against removal of hoarding of martyr saint. Addressing the media persons and other present there, S. Hakumat Singh Advocate alleged that after the killing and injuring many innocents and causing huge damages to the movable property of the nearby inhabitants while on mass protests by Sikhs of J&K and from other states, a case under FIR No. 112/2015 was registered in Police Station, Satwari. In order to cull out the factual position, a special investigating team was constituted by the Div Com.Jammu to bring to book the erring police officers/officials responsible for commission of the brutal act. He lamented that that till date not to talk of the completion of the investigation, even nothing was heard about the pace and progress of the investigation so far despite repeated persuasions made with the concerned authorities. He alleged that on the contrary, the erring persons have been posted on the key posts which is just to add fuel to the fire, thus hurting the sentiments of the community USC demanded immediate completion of the investigation by SIT without prejudice and production of final report against the delinquent officers/official so that justice is administered to the victims of brutality and sagging confidence of the Sikh Community is restored and justice administered to the victims of police brutalities. |
