Jammu, Nov 5: To ensure smooth functioning of the armed wing of state police, 264 personnel of armed police and India Reserve Police (IRP) have been transferred.
In the transfers ordered by the armed police headquarters (APHQ), the transferred personnel have been asked to join their new places of posting at the earliest. Most of them had not been transferred for the past several years, according to police sources. Sources said the personnel of armed police and IRP were transferred from one battalion to another. The transfer order, however, said that those armed police personnel who were attached at different places as per the orders of state police headquarters or the APHQ would not be affected by this order.
