Symposium-cum-exhibition on World Aids Day organized | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 2: An awareness drive on prevention and control of HIV/AIDS was organized for serving personnel and families in the form of Symposium and Exhibition, at 136 Station Health Organization at Health Education Hall and Dhanvantari Auditorium of 166 Military Hospital at 0830 hours. Lt Col Vivek Gupta Officer commanding 136 SHO (L) delivered a healthy lecturer on prevention and control of HIV/AIDS followed by an interactive session with audience. The symposium and exhibition benefited 292 troops and families of Jammu garrison. The theme of the World AIDS Day celebration was "Getting to zero: Zero new HIV infections, Zero discrimination, Zero Aids-related deaths" which signified a push towards greater access to treatment for all. It is time to let everyone know that an AIDs free generation is very essential. Focusing on an AIDS free generation is the overall agenda responding to HIV, but the priority may be zero discrimination in some parts of the world and zero AIDS related deaths in some other parts. |
