JAMMU, Dec 2: The Annual SAC (Sports -Academics - Cultural) Meet 2015 was inaugurated today in college campus by D K Batra, Joint secretary accompanied by Dr R P Kudyar, Director Principal.
The four day event which started today will culminate on 5th December 2015 and during the course various sports, academics and cultural performances will be organised.
Today's events included tug of war between ladies staff and students which was won by ladies staff members by 2-0 and match between male staff members and students was won by male staff members.
The 3rd event was ceremonial cricket match between staff and students in which staff scored 202 for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs match. Dr Ravinder K Gupta, Dr Rajesh Gupta and Dr Amit Suri scored 60,56 and 45 respectively while Dr. Pavan Malhotra was unbeaten on 30runs.
The students were bowled out for paltry 35 runs in seven overs. The staff won the match convincingly by a margin of 167 runs.
Dr. Manmeet, Dr. Rohit , Dr. Avinash and Dr. Atul shared 3, 3, 2 and 2 wickets respectively. Dr. Ravinder K Gupta took a spectacular catch to end the match and was decleared as the man of the match. |
