GDC Poonch observes death anniversary of Sardar Waryan Singh 12/2/2015 11:04:17 PM Early Times Report Poonch, Dec 2: A brief programmed was organized in the premises of Government Degree College Poonch to observe the Death Anniversary of Sardar Waryan Singh who died on December 2nd of 1978 in Historical Poonch agitation famous as Poonch agitation was held to protest against step motherly treatment with Poonch by the State Govt. There was large scale of un- employment almost of educated youth was jobless. A large numbers of youth and public participated in agitation in which Sardar Waryam Singh attained martyrdom while agitating in premises of Government Degree College Poonch where he was shot point blank by police after his martyrdom Govt. was forced to employ more than 250 youth of Poonch. Numbers of student participated in today is in anniversary programmed including staff and Students of Govt. Degree College Poonch.
