Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 2: With a view to create awareness on good health and timely care of diseases, St. Joseph's Community Hospital conducted a free medical camp in its campus at Smailpur. The camp witnessed in-flow of people from villages and industrial area surrounding Smailpur and Bari Brahmana. The doctors present at the camp held free check up, consultation and distributed medicines to the needy persons. The Camp was inaugurated by Dr. Y. P. Gupta, Physician, St. Joseph's Community Hospital. While addressing, Dr. Gupta advised people to take good care of health at all times. Since the day of medical camp coincided with the International AIDS day, the Chief Guest laid special stress on precautions for better health and exhorted everyone to live responsibly. He appreciated the efforts of St. Joseph's Hospital for its commitment to selfless services to the masses through its community linkage. A medical team comprising of four doctors provided much needed specialized medical cover to the ladies, children and elderly people during the camp. The team comprising of Dr. Anita Dhar, Gynacologist; Dr. Rajeev Bhasin, Physician; Dr. Y.P. Gupta, Physician and Dr. Harbinder Singh Bali, General Surgon and Dr. Amit Sharma treated more than 250 patients and referred some for additional medical care. |
