DODA, Dec 2: Enforcement team of Legal Metrology Department Doda under the Supervision of Assistant Controller Legal Metrology Doda along with inspector Legal Metrology Bhaderwah conducted market inspections at Bhagwah, Thathri, Prem Nagar and Doda Town.
During the inspections the erring traders were challenged for violating various provisions of the J&K Standards of Weights & Measures (Enforcement) Act, 2011 and Rules. A fine of Rs. 15600 was imposed on erring traders. Further during the inspections the department directed all the traders to use only verified/stamped Weights & Measure instruments for business transactions and ensure that all the Packaged Commodities sold to the consumers bear the MRP, packing date, Net Contents and consumer care number. |
