Jammu, Dec 2: Police today claimed to have arrested a shopkeeper and recovered 31 domestic LPG cylinders illegally stored from the shop in Sudh Mahadev -Chenani of Udhampur. A case under Essential Commodity Act stands registered against accused.
The accused has been identified namely as Ashok Kumar s/s Tirlok Chand of Sudh Mahadev Chenani of Udhampur
"On specific information, a Police team headed by In-charge Police Post Sudh Mahadev, S/I Khyati Maan Khajuria under the supervision of Inspector Mahesh Sharma SHO Chenani, Vinod sharma Sharma, SDPO Chenani raided a shop, police spokesperson said. He said that during the search of shop police team and recovered 31 domestic LPG cylinders from the shop. Police said the accused was arrested on the spot while LPG cylinders were seized. In this connection, a case under FIR No. 111/2015 under section 3/7 Essential Commodity Act has been registered at Chenani police station and investigation of the case is in progress. |
