BJP MLA's PSO suspended for opening fire in marriage; inquiry ordered 12/17/2015 11:06:40 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 17: The Private Security Officer of BJP MLA R S Pura has been suspended for opening fire during a marriage function at the Miran Sahib area on the city outskirts here. Meanwhile a departmental inquiry has been initiated in this matter. "Surinder Kumar has been suspended for opening fire from his official weapon while an inquiry has also been ordered against him," Jammu SSP Uttam Chand here told. SSP Jammu also said, "The service weapon of accused has also been seized while an inquiry has been instigated. As per reports, the incident took place when the MLA R.S Pura Gagan Bhagat went to Miran Sahib to attend the marriage ceremony of his relative where his PSO Surinder Kumar opened fire with his service weapon ( pistol), which created panic in the entire area. Following the incident SSP Jammu has placed the accused PSO under suspension and initiated departmental inquiry.
