Rajouri, Dec 17: Jamola Nehru Youth Club (JNYC), Rajouri today organized an awareness programme on gender issue.
According to press release, Mohd Nasir Khan National Youth Awardee highlighted the various aspects of violence against women. "Many women are committing suicide every year due to lack of awareness and patriarchical set up of the society", he said.
President of the organization, Akis Naseer delivering their lecture said all the members of organization everyday receiving dozeno of complaints on various women issue and crime against them. The cases are relating to domestic violence, dowry harassment, sexual offences, and gender discrimination. |
