Samba, Dec 17: Newly established office of ARTO Samba was inaugurated at the District Administrative Complex, Nandini Hills Samba.
District Development Commissioner Samba, inaugurated the office. SSP Samba Joginder Singh , RTO Jammu A.K Khajuria, Deputy Director Planning Sunil Pandita , NIC Scientist 'D' Rakesh Gupta , ARTO BOI Swarn Singh, district heads of various departments were present on the occasion. ARTO Samba Kuldeep Singh informed that the Office will provide single window system for the applicants where separate sections for registration, permits, license, fee and enquiry counters have been provided.
Meanwhile, upgraded software of Vahan, a web based software version 4.0 was launched on the occasion which can be accessed from National Transport portal parivahan.gov.in and a step ahead to provide on line services to the citizens . "Now applicants will receive messages via sms and can track their service request.
They will also receive messages when fitness, registration certificate renewal, permit, insurance and toll tax are due. This is the 4th RTO office in the state to launch these services," he said. He further said that the department will soon launch license pertaining software Sarthi version 4.0 and very shortly driving license services would also be made online. Also, the user would be able to do online payments for RCs, permit, fitness and other services. |
