Everybody looted Gujjars in past: Chowdhary Zulfkar | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Dec 17: Terming Gujjar and Bakerwals as most neglected community in Jammu and Kashmir, Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali has said that everybody in past looted nomads and put them at the mercy of God but now Mufti led coalition government has become hope for this community. Addressing mammoth gathering of Gujjar and Bakerwal community at Town Hall Kathua and Saprawai village of Hiranagar, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali said that Gujjars and Bakerwals were neglected lots of this state who did not get due share in any sector. He said that everybody in past took the advantage of their humble nature and looted them with both hands. He said that they were deprived of even basic rights of education food water and electricity and nobody gave heed to listen to them and redress their problem. Pledging to uplift educational scenario of tribal's, Zulfkar said the condition of Gujjar Bakerwal Hostels are so bad that they looks like Orphanages. He said that his priority is to uplift the standard of these institutions by providing quality food to inmates. He said that CM has already given nod to increase food menu of inmates doubling it from Rs 50 to 100. He said that CM also wants some other changes in the Hostels which are in pipeline to be implemented on ground. |
