NPSU protests seeking issuance of Dogra certificate to Jammu youth
12/17/2015 11:19:44 PM
Jammu, Dec 17 : National Panthers Student Union (NPSU) held a strong demonstration outside the University Campus against the failure of the coalition government to issue Dogra certificate to the Dogra youth inhabiting Jammu region. Addressing the gathering Thakur Virender Singh President NPSU said that prior to elections, the BJP leaders had assured the electorates that the Dogra youth would be issued Dogra certificate so as to facilitate their entry into Army and Para Military forces. He said that the BJP's slogan was replicated in its vision document also which categorically assured the issuance of Dogra certificate to Jammu Dogra speaking people. He however regretted that none of the Legislators of BJP raked up the issue of Dogra certificate in the Assembly and even failed to confront their coalition partner when the latter made a statement refusing the same. Lambasting the BJP for acting as the 'B' team of PDP, Thakur Virender said that the students would not tolerate the brazen surrender of the rights of Jammu people by the BJP. He announced the launch of signature campaign from tomorrow on 18th December for appropriate announcements on the subject in the coming session of Assembly. Among others who were present in the protest demonstration include Lovely Singh, Rishi Badayal, Shubam Jasrotia, Sourav Singh, Sumit Jamwal, Shubam Chib, Rahul Sharma, Bhupinder Singh, Sunny Kotwal, Keshav Sharma and others.
