JAC urges Govt for defending Court ruling on Reservation

Jammu, Dec 17 : Joint Action Committee (JAC) urged Government promptly for defending High Court judgement on "No Reservation in Promotion". Addressing media persons, President Ved Prakash Sharma and others sought to put perspective the scheme of the vent that have happened ever since the High Court vide its judgment dated Oct 9, 2015, in the petition titled Ashok Kumar Vs State and others, stuck down section 6 of reservation act 2004 and rules 9, 10 and 34 of the Reservation Rule 2005 which relate to 'Reservation in Promotion'.
The above judgment have been challenged in Supreme Court and Supreme Court was pleased to pass a "Status Quo, as of today" order on 14-Dec-2015
In some segment of media, "Status Quo, as of today" order ;,-being miss-reported as "Stay" of judgment.
They urged for a prompt and expeditious response from the Govt. defending the High Court judgment. Govt. should appreciate that major chunk of Govt. Employees belong to general category and anything contrary or against such a huge, intellectual and performing intelligentsia shall invite wide spread public wrath.
