JAMMU, Dec 17 : The two days long championship organized by Amateur Karate Do Association of Jammu & Kashmir recognized by J&K State Sports Council concluded today at M A Stadium Jammu. More than 300 participants from different districts viz Jammu, Rajouri, Kathua, Samba, Sunderbani, Srinagar, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Shopian participated in the tournament. The bouts for sub junior were conducted on 1st day and those of cadet, Junior and Senior were conducted on 2nd day. It is pertinent to mention that the gold medalists of the senior events of the state will get the opportunity to participate in KAI Senior National Championship to be held on 14th February, 2016 at Adlux, Karakutty, Kerala. Jawaid A Shah, Secretary, J&K State Sports Council, was the Chief Guest of the Closing Ceremony/ Medal Distribution function while Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary, J&K State Sports Council was the Guest of Honour of the function. The tournament was conducted as per the rules and regulations of WKF/ KAI and under the technical supervision of Shihan Rajneesh Choudhary Refree and Judge "A" (AKF), Refree Commission Member (KAI) from New Delhi. The other officials and coaches who conducted the bouts were Amit Sangra (III Dan Black Belt), Inspector J&K Police, Umesh Rekhi, Suraj Prakash, Rinku Sharma, Charan Singh, Rajesh Banal, Mujahid Mir from Ganderbal, Dr. Gulam Mustafa Mir from Srinagar, Ghulam Nabi Dar, Abdul Hamid from Anantnag, Raja Shabahat Iftikhar from Pulwama, Gopal, Anil from Reasi, Tushar Jandial, Bilal Javaid, Ashwani Kumar, Anup Singh, Deepika Chauahan, Deepa Sharma. Lastly Votes Of Thanks were presented by Ambedkar Gupta, President, AKAJK, Joint Secretary, Karate Association of India (KAI). |
