KVK, Reasi organises Ex-trainees Sammelen

Reasi, Dec 19: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology -Jammu organized ex-trainees meeting at village Sirah of Reasi district.
Many farmers who have been trained by the KVK participated in the programme. Dr. Banarsi initiated the programme with the warm welcome of trainees. He elaborated the contents of different farmers/vocational trainings imparted to the farmers by the KVK. He also narrated about the different technologies demonstrated by the KVK at the farmers' fields. He got the feedback of different training programmes which were imparted to the farmers to start the agri-entrepreneurship in the village.
During programme, farmers said that before the exposure of the training programmes imparted by the KVK they were least aware with the modern agricultural technologies but KVK efforts to train them changed their way of farming which further helped to change their total social- economic status. Farmers said that KVK experts' trainings, Front Line Demonstrations, On Farmers Testing, Kisan Ghosties and others really motivated them for the commercial agricultural.
Farmers further added that with the help of KVK they started to increase their crop production which further helped to generate the extra income. Farmers also gave elaborations on various scientific agricultural technologies which have been learned by them. They responded to Dr.Banarsi that with the KVK endeavors now they have started to commercialize the vegetables, cereals, pulses, oilseeds, vermicompost, fruits, milk, marigold flowers at large scale and others.
Dr.Banarsi appreciated the farmers for their response for the KVK activities. He assured the farmers that whenever they need any kind of farmers/vocational trainings KVK will help them to impart new farm skills. He further said that the farmers should focus on commercial agriculture.
