The petitioner also alleged that the statement of the victim was also recorded after week after she was recovered from Pathankot along with a local youth (who was granted interim bail in the case). "As victim's statement was recorded under CrPc 164 after a week but the victim was kept under illegal custody of the Akhnoor Police Station. Father of the victim also stated in his petition while exposing Police said, " During this period the girl was kept under illegal custody instead of shifting the victim to the Women Cell, Jammu." Yet in another development Passenger Duty Magistrate has extended the judicial remand of four of the accused arrested in the Akhnoor Sex Racket Case up to December 28. Here it needs to mention that Police yet have made no further arrests it only has arrested five small businessmen and shopkeepers from Akhnoor. However it is alleged that all the influential businessmen and the local political leader who was also named by the victim before the Municipal Judge are roaming scot free till now.
