Govt appoints Dr Kaiser as Principal GMC Srinagar 12/19/2015 11:48:00 PM Srinagar, Dec 19: A few days after Dr Rafiq Pampori tendered his resignation, government on Saturday appointed Dr Kaiser Ahmad as the new Principal of Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar. Sources said that Dr Rafiq Pampori's application for voluntary retirement from his services was accepted by the Health department and he was relieved of his post. Pertinently, Dr Pampori had gone on 'protest leave' earlier this week and had applied for voluntarily retirement after he was allegedly humiliated by a minister. Sources said the order for the appointment of new principal was issued by Commissioner Secretary Health and Medical Education Department after a meeting was convened to take final call on the appointment.
