Jammu, Dec 19 : Welcome 2016 was the theme of the Inter-House Flower Arrangement Competition at DPS, Jammu for classes VI-VIII held, the competition showcased the aesthetic sensibilities of the young florists of DPS Jammu. The 15 amazing arrangements, 3 from each house, varying from traditional to modern, dazzled the viewers & judges with their vivid colours, intricate and creative arrangements. Some incorporated lotus in ponds, while others used colorful roses into their designs. The participants displayed keen interest, innate talent and enthusiasm for the competition. The designs and colour combinations used to create an ambience using flowers, foliage and other floral accessories turned out to be a feast for the eyes and brought out the happy and positive emotions in everybody's mind . The competition was adjudged by Suresh Sharma and Pankaj Manhas, from the Art Department of the school. They appreciated the students' talent and senses in creating a colorful and amazing layout with flowers. The winner of this competition was Chenab House. The Headmistress, Meenu Gupta applauded the budding florists and appreciated the effort and hardwork put in by them. She further stressed that such orderly tasks required a great deal of attention and concentration. The Principal, Ruchi Chabra, also congratulated the winners for their exceptional talent and wished all participants for their bright future. |
