Terror outfits recruiting local boys after infiltration bids are foiled on LoC, IB 12/20/2015 12:24:03 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 19: Groups of militants, operating in Jammu and Kashmir, including the dreaded Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) in a bid to maintain their hold have reportedly started to recruit local boys for giving a fillip to the level of violence, especially in the Kashmir valley after number of infiltrations along Line of Control and International Border were foiled by alert security forces. Official sources said that the step has been taken after militant mentor across the border found it very difficult and risky to make an attempt at infiltrating into Jammu and Kashmir following upgrading the security grid on the LoC and on the IB. According to official sources, another reason that could be root cause of shifting focus that Islamabad does not want to provoke New Delhi which had initiated measures for the resumption of the bilateral talks if the Pakistan Army offers any assistance to militants in infiltrating into Jammu and Kashmir this will hamper the cause. Reports said that the fresh recruits are being imparted arms training in make shift camps in the hilly areas of the state. "On account of failure to push militants into Jammu and Kashmir from across Line of Control (LoC), militant groups, including Lashkar-e-Toiba, have changed their modus operandi by trying to localize the militancy," said government sources. Highly placed sources in the state Government also maintained that militant outfits are finding it difficult to infiltrate their cadre into Jammu and Kashmir due to heightened security along LoC. "In order to fill its numbers, the militant groups have started recruiting local boys into the militancy," they added. Officials who deal with security affairs in Jammu and Kashmir said militant group including Lashkar-e-Toiba failing to send people across LoC due to vigorous security arrangements now have started recruiting local boys, whom they want to operate in the valley for the purpose of destabilizing peace by indulging in the incidents of violence.
