Jammu, Dec 19: At least 17 people were injured in separate road accidents across Jammu region.
"A mini-bus on way towards R S Pura this morning hit the tanker parked along the roadside near Simbal Morh in Miran Sahib area on city outskirts here," police here said.
They said the vehicle was speedily driven as the driver failed to apply the brakes and lost control, following which it collided with the tanker.
Fifteen people were injured and they were rushed to the hospital.
Meanwhile in an another incident, a taxi skidded off the road and plunged into Chenab river near Karara in Doda district.
The occupants jumped out of the vehicle and sustained injuries. The injured identified as Daya Krishan, son of Amar Nath, resident of Bhaderwah and Mohammad Raheem Bhatti, resident of Akhnoor, Jammu were hospitalised. |
