Misuse of Bahu Plaza Parking: BPOA President asks admn to clarify | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 19: Alleging brazen violation of the rights of Bahu Plaza occupants, clients and others serving in different Govt and Private setup, the Bahu Plaza Occupants Association (BPOA) said that routine Car Melas being organized in the Bahu Plaza parking slot are becoming a inconvenience to them. According to a statement issued here today President of BPOA Anil Gupta said, "Due to routine car melas and other such ventures they (BPOA) find it hard to find space for parking the car in the premises meant for parking of the vehicles of Bahu Plaza Occupants and others visitors to the premises." "The occupants of Bahu Plaza pay the rent for parking in advance to the authorities authorized by the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) but still they wonder who permits car melas in the parking for reasons better known to authorities who have ignored the case till date," the statement said. President of BPOA Anil Gupta said that our business is affected adversely as the clients and customers hesitate to visit the Bahu Plaza in absence of the proper parking space which often is seen occupied by the unknown persons organizing 'car melas.' Pertinent to mention here that the occupants are paying the rent in advance to the bidder to whom JDA has permitted to hire the space on rent to the people but in violation of all the norms the parking is allotted to some companies to hold 'car melas'. The President of the BPOA has asked the authorities to clarify the authority permitting car melas in the parking premises, forcing occupants as well as clients to park their vehicles on the road side resulting the lifting of the vehicle by traffic police on several occasions. |
