'Samjha Nahi Paunga' present at Natrang studio | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 10 : 'Samjha Nahi Paunga', a solo performance devised by Bipan Gupta, a Natrang actor who pursued further training in acting from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata was performed here today at Natrang Studio Theatre in its Sunday Theatre Series. The play was grossly inspired from Dogri play 'Diary Kusse Loknath Di' written by Prof. Madan Mohan and was presented by Natrang in a different dimension. The story of the play revolves around an ordinary person 'Bharat' who has an extraordinary dramatic flip in his life which has a lot to say to all of us. The emotional quotient of the play touches the hearts of the audience and exemplifies that how a simple story, with no extreme graphs can still be so effective. The actor of the play enacts different characters like father, wife, colleague, boss, beloved etc. and expresses the internal upheaval of the central character. The dreams, fantasies and aspirations of a common man were symbolic depicted in the play and their harsh fate was also shown and the resultant emotional turmoil which drags us even backwards contains the real drama. How a common man's aspirations ride the emotional roller coaster was very well depicted through this play, which gripped the audience of the intimate studio theatre as they had a very close encounter with the actor and that too in different characters. All the characters of the play were efficiently performed by Bipan Gupta. Rahul Singh executed the Lights and Rajan Thakyal rendered the music. The show was coordinated by Shivam Singh. On Monday, 11th of January, Natrang would be presenting it's popular children play 'Aap Hamare Hain Kaun' written and directed by Padmashree Balwant Thakur in Natya Samagam organized by Sangeet Natak Akademi at New Delhi. |
