Indian Army Poonch Brigade disrtibutes sports equipments to Govt stadium, Poonch 1/14/2016 11:08:01 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 14: To encourage sportsmanship among the youth and their participation in sports activities, sports equipment was donated to Govt Stadium, Poonch under the aegis of Poonch Brigade. An exhibition hockey match was also organised to highlight the event, played between Poonch XI and Stadium XI, displaying the enthusiasm and sportsman spirit. Thereafter, Commander Poonch Brigade handed over the sports equipment to Poonch Stadium. The commander praised the sports culture of Poonch and asked the youth to move ahead with big dreams. The occasion was also graced by the presence of other eminent citizens of Poonch. "The aim of this project was to spread a message of goodwill and sportsmanship in Poonch and Provision of sports equipment will go a long way in encouraging spirit-de-corps amongst the youth of Poonch and will play a vital role in bringing communities together, having a social and cultural impact amongst the youth of the border town" said Commander Poonch Brigade. He again said that it has been the endeavour of Indian Army to encourage the youth of the area to hone their sporting skills to shine at the State/National level.
