Omar forgets his failures, ridicules at PDP-BJP

Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Jan 14: Former Chief Minister and National Conference President Omar Abdullah who miserably failed in his tenure and tried to rollback of many of his misgivings in the last year of his power, has forgotten everything about his failures, which led to his being thrown out of power. He now wants to ridicule at the previous PDP-BJP alliance.
Forgetting his misadventures, Omar yet again took to Twitter. He said the PDP's review of the performance of its coalition with the BJP was a "vindication that the government did 'absolutely nothing' in the past 10 months."
"Effectively making our point that their government did absolutely nothing for 10 months," Omar wrote on Twitter.
He was reacting to PDP statement that the party was reviewing the progress made on its 'Agenda of Alliance' with the BJP before taking a decision on continuation of the coalition with the national party.
"Why is BJP in a fix? PDP needs to explain why it surrendered these issues for 10 months and still praised coalition," Omar said.
But like always, Omar failed to impress his followers who instantly bashed him online. "Omar Abdullah you failed on every front, atleast they had made a beginning. Have you forgotten your misadventures?"asked Junaid Ahmed.
Another netizen accused Omar of being jobless which has frustrated him to kill time playing on the internet. "There are many games online better than making tweets, try your luck there, may be you succeed;" ridiculed Shabana Akhter.
Akhter Ganie, a man wrote it was shame that at a time when PDP President Mehbooba Mufti needs moral support to come out of the shock of her father's death, Omar was resorting to cheap tactics. "This woman has lost her father and you want to make fun of it. How mean," tweeted another.
But Omar cannot stop tweeting. Earlier in the day apparently referring to the PDP's stand of addressing the external and internal dimensions of the Kashmir issue, Omar said both facets of the issue were playing up and there was confusion about both.
"Amazingly both the internal & external facets of J&K's problems are playing up right now - confusion about Govt formation & Indo-Pak talks!" he said.
Running short of ideas he even mixed government formation in J&K with arrest of militant commander Azhar Masood in Pakistan. "No arrest of Masood Azhar; no FS (Foreign Secretary) talks tomorrow, no government in J&K. Too many noes," he added.
"Omar you are confused. Take a break," tweeted one of his followers.
Observers said Omar's habit of speaking on everything has demeaned the status of senior politicians. "How many times a day do you see PDP, BJP or Congress making statements. But he alone tweets, tweets and tweets," said a Kashmir University teacher adding "This is verbal diarrhea."
